I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in child, adolescent, young adult and family therapy. I obtained my Master of Social Work from Monmouth University with a specialization in clinical practice with children and families. 

My career has allowed me the opportunity to provide clinical care in a variety of mental health and youth settings. I have several years of experience with children and adolescents in different settings which include: private and public schools, hospitalization programs, substance abuse inpatient, residential, behavioral and special education alternative settings.

Upon completion of my Masters, I became, and currently remain, the social social worker at a Monmouth County school. In this setting I provide students and their families with individual, group and family counseling. I work closely with students who are classified with learning disabilities and help to advocate their right to special education services within the school district. I assist the students with issues surrounding mental health, life transitions and adjustments, family conflicts, and help guide families in times of crisis. I also run anti-bullying and anti-drug prevention programs, as well as varied psycho-educational groups on topics such as cyber safety, social media safety, healthy relationships, peer resolution strategies, stress management, anger management, mindfulness, body image and nutrition.   

Additionally, I was a recipient of a 2014 Monmouth University award which recognizes professionals who have shown a particular dedication to end violence against women and children, as well as to empower them to live the healthiest life possible.

I look to promote positive change with my clients through solution focused family systems and cognitive behavioral therapy.  I use a strength based perspective as well as compassion to guide my framework and treatment modalities.  I am committed to providing a safe non-judgmental environmental where my client feels comfortable to begin treatment.

Confidentiality is an important component to the therapeutic relationship, therefore it is my number one concern to protect the privacy of my clients. Issues addressed in therapy are sensitive matters and put the client in a vulnerable state. Therefore, I will only share information with the client’s written permission of release, or if mandated by law and professional ethics where I would be required to break confidentiality.
